The Peak Pregnancy Method
The Peak Pregnancy Method will help you transform, and feel in control of, your pre and postnatal health without information overload and needing to commit too much time. It's designed using safe, medically-approved advice to equip you with a step-by-step 8 week plan so that you can learn how to thrive through your pregnancy or the postnatal period, manage common symptoms and prepare your body for birth and/or a fast recovery. Most importantly, to help you feel in control of your pre and postnatal health.
The Peak Pregnancy Method is a 360 degree health transformation program using Personal Training and Yoga, Nutrition, and Mind, Breathwork and Self Care methods
This means it encompasses all elements of health, featuring both physical and mental aspects of pre and postnatal health which ensures sustained change. It's designed as a 8 week plan so that we can work through it together step-by-step to make changes gradually, leading to more health wins for you because it's achievable alongside a busy life. Bi-weekly coaching calls with me ensure that you stay on track and that we keep seeing progress as we tailor the next steps together to work for you.

Post Transform Programme Ongoing Coaching
We will continue to build on your good work, and keep progressing your pre or postnatal exercise programming and nutrition so that you continue your health transformation journey. We'll continue working on habit building and mindset techniques to have you winning at life and I'll teach you more breathwork techniques too.
We'll continue the weekly online check ins, and ongoing messaging support, but drop down to one 121 call a month.

I'm your biggest pregnancy and postnatal health champion. I'm so excited to guide you to your best pre and postnatal health so that you can thrive through your pregnancy, fly through labour and ensure the best recovery from birth. I'm a fully qualified Pre and Postnatal Personal Trainer, Association for Nutrition certified Nutrition Coach and Yoga and Breathwork Teacher so you can trust that you're in good hands.
Having been on my own physical and mental health journey through my life I strongly believe health and well-being is holistic; in other words, a combination of methods is always going to be more effective for achieving a goal than just focusing on just one method, which is why I've created the Peak Pregnancy Method. You Might Be Asking Is Exercise Really OK For Pregnancy?
YES! The Benefits of Pre and Postnatal Exercise Are Well Documented...
Both the credible medical sources of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2017) and the American College of Sports Medicine (2017) list the physical and psychological benefits from participating in regular exercise:

Maintains general fitness, improves cardiovascular fitness and prepares body for birth

Lowers gestational weight gain
3
Improves posture and reduces back pain
4
Strengthens pelvic floor muscles which help prevent incontinence, haemorrhoids, constipation and prolapse.

Improves sleep, mood and energy levels
6
May reduce risk of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia and caesarean delivery
7
Faster postnatal recovery including return to your pre-pregnancy weight
8
May reduce risk of postnatal depression
The only absolute contraindications (i.e. exercised is not advised) for exercise during pregnancy (ACOG, 2015) are:

Certain types of heart and lung diseases
-
Cerclage/ stitches to the cervix
-
Being pregnant with twins or triplets (or more) with risk factors for preterm labor
-
Placenta previa after 26 weeks of pregnancy
-
Preterm labor during this pregnancy or ruptured membranes (your water has broken)
-
Preeclampsia or pregnancy-induced high blood pressure
-
Severe anemia
And Why Is Pregnancy Nutrition Important?
There are certain tweaks a Mum-to-be is advised to make to her diet for her and baby's health. These are worked into the Peak Pregnancy Method where we also explore food habits through a food diary and look to create healthier habits where needed, using a combination of nutrition coaching techniques and yummy healthy swap-in recipes!

Food to Prioritise
Generally pregnancy dietary advice is along the lines of a balanced diet prioritising the supply of maximum good nutrients to Mum and Baby

Maternal Calorific Needs
Eating for two is advice of the past now, the NHS recommends are 200 more calories a day in the third trimester only, and 500 if breastfeeding.

Supplements
Along with folic acid supplements from pregnancy planning stage (ie as early as possible!) until week 12 of pregnancy, some of the other vitamins and minerals to be prioritised are Vitamin D and C.

Knowing what to avoid
Whilst most vitamins and minerals are encouraged during pregnancy, Vitamin A is not, so be careful to avoid vitamin supplements containing Vitamin A. There's also a whole host of foods to avoid during pregnancy, but some great stand in ideas, which we also cover in the Peak Pregnancy Program.
